Welcome to TimeMap. By using the TimeMap app or website, you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.
Service Description
TimeMap is an application that allows users to explore historical scenes generated using artificial intelligence based on geographic locations and time periods.
The service is provided for educational and entertainment purposes.
AI Generated Content
Historical scenes, images, and narration generated by TimeMap are created using artificial intelligence based on available information about locations, geography, architecture, and historical context.
These outputs are interpretations and visualizations and may not represent exact historical accuracy.
TimeMap does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
AI Processing and Third-Party Services
TimeMap uses third-party AI providers to generate content within the app.
By using features of the app, you acknowledge that certain inputs may be processed by these providers, including:
- Location data (such as city names or coordinates)
- Time periods and historical context
- User prompts and inputs
- Uploaded images (for features such as "Insert Me")
This data is used solely to generate the requested output.
Third-party providers may process this data according to their own policies. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
User Uploaded Content
Certain features, such as the "Insert Me" feature, allow users to upload images.
By uploading an image, you confirm that:
- You have the right to use and upload the image
- The image does not violate any laws or third-party rights
Uploaded images may be temporarily processed by third-party AI services to generate results.
TimeMap does not claim ownership of user uploaded images and does not retain them after processing.
Subscriptions and Purchases
TimeMap offers optional in-app purchases including subscriptions and credit packs that allow users to generate additional scenes.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the user's Apple ID account settings before the renewal period.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscription management and cancellation can be handled through Apple ID account settings.
Credits and Virtual Items
Credits purchased within the app are used to generate scenes.
Credits are consumed when a generation is performed and have no cash value. Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for money.
Unused credits may remain available for future use within the app unless otherwise specified.
Acceptable Use
Users agree not to misuse the service or attempt to interfere with the operation of the app.
This includes attempting to exploit, reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service.
Limitation of Liability
TimeMap is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.
TimeMap is not responsible for any damages, losses, or inaccuracies resulting from the use of the service or generated content.
Termination
TimeMap reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the service if these Terms of Service are violated or if misuse of the platform is detected.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
